From Churchill Reserve, walk along the coast below the cliffs on the North Shore Coastal Walk / Te Araroa to the relatively modest suburban beach at Rothesay Bay. A reserve backs the beach.
This is another example of a pretty northeast coast, Hauraki Gulf beach. Enclosure by the gulf makes for little surf and safe swimming. As with the other nearby beaches, there is plenty of orange and gold in the sand.
