Exploring Te Akeake Walk in Wenderholm
Te Akeake Walk is a scenic, flat trail located in Wenderholm Regional Park, on the Hibiscus Coast in northern Auckland. This walk offers a picturesque route along Te Akeake spit, following the edge of the Pūhoi River and estuary to the river mouth at the beach.

How to Get There
To reach Te Akeake Walk, head to Wenderholm Regional Park, located north of Ōrewa on the Twin Coast Discovery Highway. Once in the park, head to the main car park. The walk begins along the edge of the Pūhoi River and continues to the river mouth at the beach.
There are several other tracks within the park, the most interesting being Te Hikoi Track. Te Araroa also runs through the park. Waiwera and Puhoi are short drives away on the highway.
