Inland Route and Pelorus Sound

About halfway through the journey, the road veers inland through Linkwater towards Pelorus Sound. Visitors can access this sound via Kenepuru Road or continue to Mahakipawa Arm. A stop at the Pelorus Sound Viewpoint is recommended for its panoramic vistas, located shortly before reaching Havelock.
