Wyuna Bay is a spit of land at the north end of Coromandel Harbour, with a harbour-facing beach. It is 5 km west of Coromandel Town and provides easy coastal access for locals and visitors. From the town, take Long Bay Road around McGregor Bay at the northern end of the harbour, then take Wyuna Bay Road to the beach access toward the end of the road.
There are two ramps for launching and retrieving boats, a public toilet, and ample parking. It's a perfect place for a family picnic, and there is a safe swimming area for children.
If you continue on Long Bay Road, you will reach Long Bay, where there is a commercial campground. You can also take the Long Bay Kauri Walk to an ancient kauri tree.
