Torbay Cliff Walk

Torbay Cliff Walk

From Tipau Point, the North Shore Coastal Walk / Te Araroa follows the rocky coastline below the cliffs to Torbay and Waiake Beach. The cliffs provide interest, and there is a bonus yacht wreck about halfway to the beach.

This is also a good walk for rock pools as the tide goes out. You can find interesting, often orange-to-red rocks. If you like collecting such things, there was also a fair bit of sea glass in the sandier sections.
