Station Rock is a short walk (about 30 minutes return) about halfway between Tryphena and Medlands on Aotea Great Barrier Island. It starts through forest regrowth and then climbs to a high point next to a cell tower. The view is spectacular, looking towards Medlands Beach and Tryphena.
Unfortunately, it was raining in Tryphena at the time, but not every day was perfect, and it provided extra contrast.
