The Napier Quays area is on the Ahuriri Estuary, close to the mouth and immediately west of the port and Hospital Hill. Along West Quay and Nelson Quay, cafes and restaurants have mostly displaced the fishing boats and various warehouses. The sun sets directly over the marina on the west side of the river outlet.
Wander along the waterfront and explore the park at the north end of the quays area by Perfume Point.
