Exploring Lake Camp Ōtautari
Located along Hakatere Potts Road, Lake Camp Ōtautari is a notable destination in the Ashburton Lakes region of the Hakatere Conservation Park, close to larger Lake Clearwater. This lake is particularly appealing to boaters, as it is one of the few lakes in the area where powered boats are permitted. It's a lively spot compared to Lake Clearwater.

How to Get There
To reach Lake Camp Ōtautari, head west along Hakatere Potts Road from Historic Hakatere Station, at the entrance to the park. You will see Lake Camp Ōtautari just before arriving at Lake Clearwater. There is plenty of space off teh side of the road for parking.
Other lakes to visit in the park include Lake Heron, Māori Lakes, Lake Emma and Lake Roundabout. If you continue along the road past Lake Clearwater, you can also discover Mount Sunday.
