Sometimes, we look at a map and see a curious name. In this instance, it was Devil Boots. Devils Boots Rd is a short, narrow metal road near Collingwood, Golden Bay. It is accessible from Collingwood Bainham Main Rd, which terminates at the access to the Goldfields Track. It runs alongside the Aorere River, which was very high on the day we visited.
The boots are two similar rock formations on either side of the road about halfway along the road. They looked like upside-down boots to us!
