There are some places in NZ that you can only realistically get to with a commercial guide. Canyoning Aotearoa operates out of the Nelson Lakes district and has access to several beautiful river canyons and waterfalls in the Nelson and Kahurangi National Parks.
The photos are from several of their locations: their half-day Hidden Falls tour, their full-day tour in Shift Canyon (both in Nelson Lakes National Park), and Dry Chasm, located in the Kahurangi National Park on the way to Mt Owen.
The team is located in St Arnaud, on State Highway 63, next to Lake Rotoiti, between Nelson and Murchison.
