This section of the North Shore Coastal Walk / Te Araroa from Campbells Bay to Murrays Bay is flat and easy. It runs below cliffs with Mairangi Bay beach in between. It is a pretty and popular walk for locals and arguably the easiest section of the entire Te Araroa.
These photos were taken shortly after high tide on a calm day. It is better to wait until the tide goes out as this exposes a range of interesting rock formations with a wide range of eroded shapes and patterns. It probably makes sense to wait until the tide starts to go out,
