The Blue Pools Track, the most popular Mount Aspiring National Park walk, is not the thing to visit on a rainy day like the one for these photos. But you may still want to stop at the Blue Pools car park or the Cameron Flat campground on the other side of the road and take in the misty views of the Makarora River valley.
Arguably, it is one of the best views from a car park on the South Island! Don’t miss the many other great stops along State Highway 6.
